For anyone interested in watching the races:
The event will be held on stretch of HWY 305 about 14 miles south of Battle Mountain, Nevada. which is located on HWY 80 about 219 miles Northeast of Reno, NV and 301 miles West of Salt Lake City.

The event will start at approximately 5:30 pm on Monday September 30th. Any daily cancellations due to weather will be available on the Battle Mountain Chamber of Commerce telephone at 775-635-8245.

There will be a spectator area at the timing traps where it will be safe to view the record attempts. No spectator vehicles will be allowed parking along the course. A parking area will be designated and you can either walk to the spectator area or take a shuttle. The parking area will be located about a mile from the timing traps. at mile marker 104. Be sure to arrive no later than 5pm to assure that you won't miss anything. The road closure and attempts will not exceed 30 minutes. Join us at the spectator parking area for the announcement of the times, speeds, wind conditions and racer feedback.

Accomodations: Last year all the racers stayed in the Best Inn in Battle Mountain. Rooms were clean and affordable. Best Inn and Suites

The Battle Mountain Chamber of Commerce is planning a few activities for the racers during the week including Golf, Horse back riding, a Gold Mine tour, and shooting. More on these events in the near future.
