| In 2001, much speculation
was heard about the potent combination of a big money
sponsor, an Olympic athlete, and a world renowned
racing organization who were determined to break the 200
Meter speed record. Unfortunately, the UK
blueyonder team
developed the streamliner in a vacuum, and ended up with
a vehicle that was way too big, and not shaped right.
This combined with the inexperience of the team and
rider led to less than optimum results.
Rumors have it that the
blue yonder team is developing something new for this
year, and with last years experience under their belt,
they are sure to be a strong contender. 7/31/02

The blue yonder team will not be
attending this year's event due to funding issues. |
